Hydration and Performance

That 2% isn’t even enough to be thirsty so you wouldn’t even know that you are dehydrated.

Fluid intake whilst working out should equal your sweat rate.  You can work this out but would only really apply to those doing exercise for 90 minutes or more. If you are keen to know this then message me!

The best tip I can give is to start off exercise being hydrated and drink a electrolyte drink during exercise.

Reason?  When we sweat we are losing electrolytes including sodium, potassium and chloride.  So replacing them whilst we sweat makes sense.

Tip number 5 of the week.

Fruit and veg count – another reason to up your fruit and veg!!  Some of them are made up of 90% water, think apples, grapes, carrots and cooked broccoli.  Who knew!!
