And Breath

Do all of these mean the same thing?

Not totally but they all have the same goal/purpose – to chill the fuck out!

It doesn’t matter how long you do it for
It doesn’t have to be perfect
You don’t even have to be good at it
You don’t have to have no thoughts
You having failed if you mind is still racing

You just need to press pause and make the time to do it.

I really want to talk about breathing.

Did you know that deep breathing is an instant way to calm down?  Of course you did, so why are we not doing it more?   Why, as a society, do we not do the things that are free, simple and very easy to do to help with our health?  Instead we choose the difficult, expensive and not proven methods most of the time.

Deep breathing I believe changed the problems with stress in my stomach.  I used to get terrible IBS symptoms daily, since I implemented yoga and deep breathing into my morning I do not suffer so much (rare) with these symptoms.  Some people may say bull shit to this and that’s fine, I’m usually the first.  What I know is that this is what happened and I cannot think of any other variables that it could be.  It doesn’t even matter if this is why it happened, I believe it and now each morning I do it,  It could be placebo, who cares.  Its free, I enjoy it and deep breathing has many other benefits too.

They include

Lower blood pressure
Help you feel relaxed
Can help you feel calm when angry
Can help with sleep.

This is the one I do each morning – 4-7-8

Breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds.  I do this around 16-20 times depending on my mood.

It takes no time so why not give it a go today!
