I have had over 200 new followers on this platform in the last month which is a huge growth for me! I wanted to introduce myself so you know a bit more about where I am coming from.
I started this blog over a year ago. It wasn’t a nutrition blog, I started it as an accountability blog to help me stop drinking alcohol for 3 months, which then turned into 6 months. During this time I qualified as a MNU certified Nutritionist and started writing articles related to my studies.
Six weeks ago I started a habits challenge on my Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/wholehealthwithemma/) and wanted to share it on here too and I gained lots of new followers. I hope you enjoyed the daily posts as much as I love to write them.
I started my business, Whole health with Emma, in July. This is when I took on my first paying client. Since July I have helped 20 clients, working with them 121, coaching them to work towards their health goals. I frigging love it! Each client has been completely unique and has had a very individualized approach.
My ethos is to help/educate to make being healthy easier. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It really isn’t. I get rid of all the bull shit. Each client that I have worked with so far has walked away with the knowledge of how to reach their goals without me.
Personally I am very much into resistance training, lifting heavy weights and building muscle. I am a strong believer that we need to be more active. What I have found so far with my consultations is that a lot of my clients also need guidance with this but I am not qualified or insured to give this advice. So I start my personal trainer level 3&4 course in January. I can then do both as both are my passions.
I offer 121 consultations face to face in my clinic but I also so online consultations and have clients in Australia, UK and Canada.
My business is still young but I have so many ideas for next year that I cant wait to get started on.
So that is Whole health with Emma.
Now some facts about me.
I live in Sydney but I am from the North of England, I have lived here for nearly 5 years and its the best thing I have done for my family!
I actually work full time in recruitment (Nursing) and have done for the last 15 years.
I am married and have a 9 year old daughter, Hanna.
I am very much into health and fitness, I practice what I preach. I am a coach you can relate too as I have most likely been there and done it in term of fat loss and muscle gain.
I don’t drink that much alcohol. I used to drink a lot, quit for 6 months and now I don’t enjoy it as much. I love a wine with a meal and a glass of bubbles to celebrate but that’s it. I cant do hangovers anymore.
I suffer with imposter syndrome a lot and I compare myself to others, I’m working on this.
I cant read books, I have to listen to them instead. I start to read and fall asleep within minutes or I can hold my concentration.
I love to roller skate – I’m not that great at it but me and my daughter love it, makes me feel 15 again.
I go to the dentist every 6 months without fail – I hate it but I hate the thought of toothache more so try to keep on top of it
I cant sit still, I can get very restless and I get bored very easily
I am a massive softy – I cry so much but not always from sadness, from happiness to and I am moved a lot by people being kind. I feel everything.
In contrast to the last comments I can be quite harsh – I’m not a fan of fluff. I hate it when people are not direct with me so I can be direct because of this. I personally think this is a good thing to be but people are offended so easily. I have to reign myself in a lot on social media.
I am now great at choosing who I spend time with – I don’t people please anymore. I used to spread myself so thinly but now I actually do what I want to do. Again – some people with think this is harsh.
I still watch friends over and over again and laugh like its the first time I’ve watched it.
I’m 40 next year and I’m just refusing to accept it.
I friggin love Christmas!
So that’s me.
There is so much more to come from me with the development of my business and my personal goals and I am excited to share them.
