Helpful cues!

Here are some helpful coaching cues that I have found effective with popular movements.

 

Hip hinge – so we are talking deadlifts, hip thrusts and glute bridges

Imagine you are closing a car door with your bum

Or

This is a funny one “imagine you have to do a pee but you have morning wood”

 

Core

Imagine you are about to get punched in the stomach

 

Hip thrust

Like you are scooping up a coin between you bum cheeks

 

Lunges

Feet position on train tracks 

 

Lats for deadlift

Squeeze the juice out of the oranges that are in your armpits

 

Pull ups

Pull the bar to the ground
